Archer Technologies was founded in 2001 and acquired by RSA in 2010. RSA, founded in 1982, was acquired by EMC in 2006. EMC itself was acquired by Dell in 2016 and became a Dell Technologies business.?Dell operates as a privately held company.

Product Description

The RSA Archer Suite includes multi-disciplinary risk and compliance management solutions and use cases that address business risk. Contained within the single platform are IT & security risk management, enterprise & operational risk management, regulatory & corporate compliance management, audit management, business resiliency, third-party governance, and public-sector solutions.

RSA sees Archer as a system of engagement and insight. This means it works to engage all lines of defense to gather and process data from multiple sources to manage risk.?In addition, it enables data-driven analysis to empower risk-informed decision making.

New Features

In August 2017, RSA released the RSA Archer Data Governance and RSA Archer Privacy Program Management use cases.?These new use cases are designed to help organizations with data privacy and data protection efforts aligned with the impending GDPR deadline.

In March 2018, RSA released the RSA Archer Cyber Risk Quantification use case.?This enables organizations to measure and track cyber risk in financial terms the business can easily understand.

In April 2018, RSA Archer release 6.4 will focus on delivering improved data quality, system performance and serviceability as well as improved business process workflow.?In addition, the IT & Security Risk Management use cases will contain feature and capability improvements.

RSA Archer is deployed across industries such as: financial services, energy, retail, public sector, healthcare, insurance, professional services, manufacturing, technology, telecommunications and transportation. Customers range from enterprises with 100,000+ employees to smaller enterprises with fewer than 1,000 employees.

Pricing

RSA Archer provides an enterprise license built around a tiered use case pricing structure.?The price point varies based on the size of the organization as measured by number of employees.?The larger the organization, the lower the per-employee use case price point becomes.?There are eight levels, with small implementations (1-2 use cases) starting at $14,000 per year.

Term Licensing:? RSA Archer can be purchased using a term or subscription-based license structure. Term licenses can be on-premises or deployed using the RSA Archer hosting platform (hosting fees are in addition to license cost). Term licensing includes enhanced maintenance at no additional expense.

Perpetual License:? RSA Archer also offers a perpetual license model for customers.?Perpetual license customers own the software and have the option of purchasing a basic or enhanced maintenance contract. Maintenance is priced as a percentage of the perpetual license cost. RSA Archer hosting services are also available for perpetual licensing.
